hey guys it's diesel Jane today I'mgonna be showing you a couple of healthypacked lunch ideas with school and workI showed you a couple of healthy packedlunch ideas with corn work a little bitago but I wanted to show you a couplemore so I'm gonna link that video that Idid recently below so you can go to getsome even even more healthy packed lunchideas with school and work if you wantto but yeah I really wanted to show yousome more today so yeah that's about itthese are some recipes but I love totake with me to work and that I love totake with me when I went to school anduniversities so let's get started withthe video okay so the first healthylunch recipe that I'm going to show youtoday is this healthy tuna and avocadosandwich it's super easy to make whatyou'll need to start is two sizes ofbread you can use whatever bread you'dprefer I like to use this 100% wholegrain rye bread or I'll use some wholegrain gluten-free bread so I've got allof the ingredients roughly prepped to aball I'm adding half a can of tuna whenI do eat tuna sometimes then I'll alwaystry to get as good quality as possiblealways try to get wild caught fish ifyou do eat fish I get tuna in salt waterand then I drain it first to the bowlI'm adding half an avocado and assistantpurple onion which I've chopped up quitefinely it's about 1/8 of an onion oreven less than that you can also useregular brown onion or spring onion oryou can just leave out the onion if youdon't like it also a squeeze of freshlemon a sprinkle of Italian herb mix seasalt and black pepper and I'm justmixing all of that up so much goodflavor in this mix and I'm adding it toone of the slices of bread and justspreading enough to cover the bread Ijust use a fork I love this tuna avocadosandwich on rye it's my favorite okayI've thinly sliced up some tomato aswell and I'm adding that to the sandwichas well and I'm topping the tomato withsome fresh baby spinach this add somegreens which is great but I also findthat if you cover the tomato with thespinach fully then it stops the breadfrom going soggy from the tomato that'swhy I always put the tomato in themiddle of the sandwich and then you canslice it in halfyou want and pack it into a lunchbox orcontainer it's nice to take a few littlesnacks to school or work with lunch aswell so I'm packing some freshblueberries into a little container andsome raw carrot sticks into anothercontainer and then I'm also packing anapple to take - these are just the kindof healthy snacks that I like to packwith my lunches but obviously you canpack whatever you like I'm just givingyou some ideas and that's my favoritehealthy tuna avocado salad sandwichperfect for a school or work packedlunch the next healthy packed lunch ideathat I'm going to show you is thistossed pasta and chickpea salad thismight be a little bit different but it'sso good and actually really easy to maketo start I'm using some gluten-freepasta or I'll use some whole grain brownrice pasta that's actually my favoriteI'm adding some of that to a pot withsome hot water I also always add thesmallest little drop of oil and sea saltto the pot when I cook pasta this stopsthe pasta from sticking togetherjust bring the pasta to a boil on thestove and then let it simmer for about12 minutes you don't want to likeovercook it but just follow the cookinginstructions on the brand of pasta thatyou have and quickly rinse the cookedpasta in cold water after cooking it sothat it doesn't stick together when youstore it I specifically like to usepenne pasta for the salad but what Iusually do is just save some pasta ifI've had pasta for dinner the nightbefore and then I'll save a serving ofthat cooked pasta for this kind of lunchthe next day to a bowl I'm adding aserving of the pasta you can use howevermuch you likewhatever amount is good is a good amountfor you about 1 or 2 cups of cookedpasta then to that I'm adding 1 TSP ofolive oil a big squeeze of fresh lemonjuice black pepper and sea salt and I'mjust tossing that up this all gives thepasta a really nice flavor I'm addingsome pre cooked chickpeas to that youcan also use canned chickpeas about 1/3to 1/2 a cup I've just used when thethird of a cup and then I've halved andpitted some olives I've used about 8olives just if you want to know exactamountsand then I'm also adding a littlehandful of fresh basil that I've justroughly torn up a bit you can also usefresh baby spinach that's also reallynice but I like to use fresh basil if Ido have it because it adds a really goodflavor then I'm adding about a cup ofbaby tomatoes which I'm leaving holes sothat they stay fresher for longer andabout half a cup of chopped cucumber andjust toss it all up and it's ready andI'm just adding that to a lunchboxcontainer you can also just mix it allup in the actual container which wouldsave time and dishes I absolutely lovethis pasta salad recipe it feels reallyfresh but it's still filling and healthyand it's a nice way to get some veggiesand some greens in without feeling likeyou're eating a whole lunch box full ofjust Queens and it has such great flavoras well especially from the olives thetomatoes and also the basil it feelskind of like mediterranean-inspired tome and even though this is even coldI like the pesto child when it's tossedwith the olive oil the lemon juice andthe sea salt and the pepper I love it somuch so with this lunch I decided topack a banana and also a few raw almondsas a healthy snack just very simple andeasy and really easy to pack into a bagor a backpack and that's my tossed pastaand chickpea salad really good forsomething a little bit different to takefor a packed lunch to school or work andjust just remember to pack a fork aswell so that you can eat it at lunchtimeokay the last lunch idea that I'm goingto show you today is my favorite tossedchicken quinoa and brass ball saladsalad bowl thing super simple and supereasy to throw together to start I've gotsome cooked quinoa and also some cookedbrown rice always keep these precookedto add to meals I've got a half a cup ofcooked quinoa and half a cup of cookedbrown rice oh my gosh you guys it's sogood mixing these two together and it'sa nice way to just change things up alittle bit of course you can just useone all the other so either just one cupof either quinoa or brown rice if youonly have one of them often just use oneor the other but it's nice to mix themsometimes too that I'm adding half a cupof hot cherry tomatoes and also half acup of chopped cucumber and then someolives that I've haft and pitted I'veused about eight again then I'msqueezing some fresh lemon juice overthat juice from about a half lemonthis adds really good flavor naturallyand it helps to keep everything freshand one teaspoon of olive oil and someblack pepper and some sea salt too ofcourse[Music]then I'm adding a hundred grams of pregrilled chicken breast meat that I'vesliced up I also pre grill pre cookchicken and save it for easy meal prepif you do want to know how I make itI'll link a video below where I showedyou how to cook and marinate grilledchicken and then I'm also adding a fewraw almonds you don't have to add boththe almonds and the chicken you can justdo either one or the other the almondsadd a really nice crunch though which Ireally like but sometimes I'll just doeither the chicken all the almondssometimes I do both whatever I'm in themood for or depending on what I havethat day and then I'm adding a littlebit of fresh baby spinach this isoptional but again it's a nice way tosneak some greens in without having toeat a whole entire bowl of just greens Ijust roughly tear it up a bit and add itin and just toss it up and then you canadd that to a lunchbox container or justmake it straight in the lunchboxcontainer I really love this tossedchicken quinoa and rice ball it's justso great when you go to work or schooland you know you've got a nice healthylunch that you've taken with you to lookforward to you just remember to pack afork with this one as well so that youcan eat it at lunch time and with that Imust are packing some strawberries andalso some raw carrots and also an appleand
